Anna Shumaker is a hobbyist photographer living in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. Fredpicture.com is a daily photo blog designed to help expand her skills as a photographer, but also to document the day-to-day happenings of her local community. Fredericksburg is a town steeped in American history; these photos serve as a visual record of the contemporary chapter of that story. The subjects vary, but, taken together, they provide form to the details we normally only recognize indirectly.

Fredpicture.com is featured in a monthly column in The Front Porch, a regional community newspaper serving Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and King George.

Anna works primarily with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi and loves tall skim cappuccinos.
